Mr. Gort’s math class has a math quiz tomorrow over volume and converting metric and customary measurements. We reviewed as a class today and I will answer any questions before the quiz tomorrow.
Mr. Gort’s classroom is headed to What’s the Scoop tomorrow because they earned this opportunity for their excellent behavior. Students will be required to bring their own money for the one item they would like to get at the ice cream shop. Please have your son/daughter bring no more than $5.00 to school tomorrow. Parents are welcome to join us at 2:00. We will be walking over from school a few minutes before 2:00 if you would like to walk with us. Hope to see you there!
Our fun- filled 5th grade celebration is tomorrow! We will have it rain or shine! Please have the 5th grade students wear their pink or green celebration shirts. Thank you to everyone who donated items or volunteering your time tomorrow! Hope we don’t get rained on!

Carnival Wristbands will NOT be sent home with the students! You willreceive your wristbands that you have pre-paid for at the Check-In table on the NIGHT of the carnival. Parents do NOT need to purchase a wristband. IF by some chance you have not purchased Carnival Wristbands….. no worries….. you may purchase them the night of the Carnival at the same Check-In table. The wristbands will be $15 the night of the Carnival.
We are hoping that by sending out this message it will eliminate many phone calls in regards to when the wristbands will be coming home with your students!
GEORGETOWN SCHOOL CARNIVAL IS FRIDAY, MAY 24 FROM 5:30p to 8:30p.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact Stacey Alexander at 616.914.6896.
On Monday, May 20 some of our kids will be leaving to enjoy a Whitecaps baseball game while the rest of us will be back at Georgetown doing different activities.
To make our day a bit more fun we decided to make Monday “Beach Day!” So bring in those beach towels, sunglasses and sunhats! We will be spending some time outside!
- Watch for a camp information/schedule note that will be coming home on Monday, May 20th.
- Please have any medications for camp placed in a ziplock baggie with your child’s name printed on the baggie. Thank you.
- Bugs are suppose to be terrible this year. Make sure you send bug spray to camp with your child!
Just a reminder that drop off time for your camper is on Wed. morning at 8:45 by the front doors. We need to have the paper turned in letting us know who will be picking your child up on Friday. Then pick up time for your tired camper will be at 1:45 on Friday afternoon by the front doors.
Monday, May 20 the safeties are headed to the Whitecaps game that begins at 11:00. We will be leaving school around 10:15. Parents are welcome to join their son/daughter on the bus or drive separately to the ballpark. There is a chance of rain on Monday so please watch the weather to determine what is the best attire to wear to the game (raincoat, sweatshirt, etc). Safeties also need to bring some money for lunch because food can not be brought into the ballpark. Don’t forget to bring your ball glove because you might be lucky enough to catch a foul ball. Please email Mr. Gort (email@example.com) if you have any questions.
