Summer Library

Can you believe it! It’s almost summertime.

  • Field Day is on Tuesday, June 4th at Eagle Stadium from 9:20-1:45. Feel free to come out and support your athletes.  It looks to be a beautiful day so please have your son/daughter wear or bring sunscreen to school.

Please wear the correct color shirt this day:

Girls: PINK       Boys: ORANGE

Students are required to wear tennis shoes the entire day.

Also, students should bring a sack lunch unless they already ordered one through the food service department.

  • Last day is Thursday, June 6th. It is a full day.
  • We will be having our final, end of the year auction on Thursday. If you have anything that you would like to donate, please feel free to bring it in or have your student bring it in.
  • Mrs. Bretz has pictures online from camp if you want to see them.  I also sent an email about this as well. They are at https://app.photorocket.com/galleries/e77070f2-369b-4b92-85b6-103b1bebb93d

If you want any of the pictures, just scroll over the picture and a download button will appear underneath.  Click that button and it will download the full resolution photo directly to their computer.  You do not have to sign up for PhotoRocket or do anything.

  • Report cards will be mailed out on Friday.

I wish you all the best and hope you all have a GREAT summer!!

Mr. Gort’s math class has a math quiz tomorrow over volume and converting metric and customary measurements.  We reviewed as a class today and I will answer any questions before the quiz tomorrow.

Mr. Gort’s classroom is headed to What’s the Scoop tomorrow because they earned this opportunity for their excellent behavior.  Students will be required to bring their own money for the one item they would like to get at the ice cream shop.  Please have your son/daughter bring no more than $5.00 to school tomorrow.  Parents are welcome to join us at 2:00.  We will be walking over from school a few minutes before 2:00 if you would like to walk with us.  Hope to see you there!

Monday Beach Day

On Monday, May 20 some of our kids will be leaving to enjoy a Whitecaps baseball game while the rest of us will be back at Georgetown doing different activities.

Miscellaneous:

  • Watch for a camp information/schedule note that will be coming home on Monday, May 20th.
  • Please have any medications for camp placed in a ziplock baggie with your child’s name printed on the baggie. Thank you.
  • Bugs are suppose to be terrible this year. Make sure you send bug spray to camp with your child!
  • Just a reminder that drop off time for your camper is on Wed. morning at 8:45 by the front doors. We need to have the paper turned in letting us know who will be picking your child up on Friday. Then pick up time for your tired camper will be at 1:45 on Friday afternoon by the front doors.

Whitecaps Game:

Monday, May 20 the safeties are headed to the Whitecaps game that begins at 11:00.  We will be leaving school around 10:15.  Parents are welcome to join their son/daughter on the bus or drive separately to the ballpark.  There is a chance of rain on Monday so please watch the weather to determine what is the best attire to wear to the game (raincoat, sweatshirt, etc).  Safeties also need to bring some money for lunch because food can not be brought into the ballpark.  Don’t forget to bring your ball glove because you might be lucky enough to catch a foul ball.  Please email Mr. Gort (mgort@hpseagles.net) if you have any questions.
